Communication & Outreach Campaign for Cocoa Farmers in Sulawesi

OSC designed and implemented an outreach campaign targeting rural, smallholder cocoa farmers across Sulawesi. OSC developed a suite of high quality informational materials and cocoa quality improvement messages. OSC then mobilized a diverse group of cocoa supply chain actors and industry stakeholders to deliver those messages and materials to farmers through the cocoa supply chain and local radio stations. OSC also produced an educational DVD for farmers on cocoa quality improvement and Indonesia's national quality standards. Feedback mechanisms, such as a Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices survey of Sulawesi cocoa farmers and farmer feedback forms were also incorporated into the Campaign to solicit feedback from beneficiaries and monitor its effectiveness.
