Public Education and Information in Support of Economic Reforms Phase III

OSC supported economic reform initiatives in Kazakhstan by providing public education support for the client's programs; increasing awareness, knowledge and effectiveness of key market constituencies and increasing the capacity of private sector, self-regulatory and business advocacy organizations to function independently.

Charged with disseminating information regarding the economic transition in Kazakhstan, OSC supported the development of the Kazakhstan Press Club through an interim sub-contracting agreement and assisted in its efforts to distribute information to regional offices.

With OSC's support, the Kazakhstan Press Club was spun off into a commercially funded enterprise providing media monitoring, market research and information services to both international and domestic clients.
