Privatizing Medium and Large Enterprises
2005

On a World Bank-funded contract, OSC provided technical assistance, training and strategic guidance to support the Publicity Campaign for Privatization in Tajikistan. OSC expatriate and local staff worked together to increase transparency in the privatization process and generate interest on the part of investors and buyers to increase competition. OSC's specific activities in support of this project included: 1. Conducting surveys and focus groups with present and potential bidders; 2. Creating a publicity campaign for the privatization program; 3. Assisting the relevant state agencies in Tajikistan to implement the campaign; 4. Preparing a privatization newsletter to provide information to the general public; 5. Monitoring effectiveness of the campaign; 6. Setting up a monitoring and evaluation system.

Public Information & Community Participation Campaign for Health Improvement
2004-2005

The goal of the ADB-managed TA was to improve access to and use of innovative health care promoted under the Health Sector Reform Project (HSRP) by the poor population, in particular by the poorest, women of reproductive age, mothers, and children. To achieve the goal, the TA aimed to strengthen public information on and community and family participation in determining, implementing, and monitoring health needs, practice and services. Through workshops, trainings and continuing consultation OSC developed strategies for the Public Information Campaign, Behavior Change Education, and Capacity Building for Local Organizations.
