Anti-corruption initiatives

Because citizens will not participate in reform if they lack confidence in those who are implementing it, OSC public information programs typically incorporate a range of anti-corruption activities.

These activities address corruption by introducing mechanisms of transparency that (1) increase media and public access to government institutions, (2) train citizens- groups and journalists to hold government accountable through the use of public media and (3) ensure that government officials understand the impact of corrupt or questionable actions.

OSC conducts public opinion research that routinely includes modules to measure public perceptions of abuse and corruption within government.  OSC makes these research findings available to government, demonstrating the link between corrupt behavior and the loss of public confidence in individuals and government institutions.
