OSC has
developed public education and public information strategies to
raise the level of awareness among the general public about
physical and mental manifestations of disease as well as
community based testing and treatment programs.
Town meetings, implemented by OSC in coordination with government ministries, NGO/CSOs and private sector resources, have facilitated the distribution of educational materials to regional and rural populations and have helped motivate affected individuals to seek treatment.
OSC's ongoing health communications programs target reduction of high-risk behavior and incorporation of effective prevention techniques to combat many of the most damaging health threats in transitional and developing economies.
