Training and project transition

To maximize the number of skilled local personnel left in place at the end of all projects, OSC trains local personnel in a wide variety of communications technologies and techniques, all of which represent the most effective and cost efficient means of disseminating information utilizing the host country's information infrastructure.

OSC has trained local media and public relations staff members from governmental, NGO and private sector entities in a wide range of technical areas including: campaign management, media relations, image improvement, public speaking, crisis media management and responses to disinformation.

In coordinating project transitions, OSC is committed to protecting and building upon the client's investment in the development of local professional capacity. OSC manages project transitions both in receiving project tasking from outgoing contractors and in transferring responsibilities to follow-on contractors.

As outgoing contractors, OSC has been able to avoid the disruption of project activities by retaining trained professionals, streamlining operations where necessary and building on professional relationships with local subcontractors.
