SERVIR

USAID 2015-present

On the global SERVIR and Climate Services Support, OSC is working to improve USAID’s communication of program results and impacts, facilitating reliable access to SERVIR’s online data and tools, and providing strategic communications technical assistance to SERVIR hubs and in-region partners. SERVIR, a joint initiative of USAID and NASA, helps developing countries improve environmental management and resilience to climate change by strengthening capacity of governments and other key stakeholders to integrate Earth observation and geospatial technologies into decision-making. OSC is raising awareness of and access to SERVIR information, creating easily-understood print and online information products, including one-pagers, factsheets, and PowerPoint presentations for analysts and decision makers in government, civil society groups, and the media. OSC facilitated the 2016 SERVIR Annual Global Exchange in Nepal, participated in SERVIR service planning exchange in Kenya, and supported the development of West Africa SERVIR Hub stakeholder mapping tools in Senegal.
